The Department of Civil Engineering was established in the year 2011 with the intake of 120 students.The department has well qualified and experienced faculty with specializations in various branches of Civil Engineering, such as Structural Engineering, Soil Mechanics, Hydraulics, Environmental Engineering, Water Resources and GIS etc.,the faculty members contribute to academic development by presenting papers in international and national conferences, publishing research papers in referred journals and attending the workshops, FDP programmes. The Department is maintaining its good position with respect to the pass percentage of Anna University, Chennai in Villupuram zone. Approximately 750 students with the necessary skills have graduated from our department. The department has equipped with adequate classrooms, fully equipped laboratories, department library, computer facilities, seminar hall etc. The Department is well equipped with the latest equipment in the Survey Lab, Strength of Materials Lab, Hydraulics Lab, Concrete & Highway Engg Lab, CADD Lab, Soil Mechanics Lab Environmental Engineering Lab, and Advanced Structural Engg Lab.There are plenty of volumes in the department library for staff and students to use as references. Students might get career placements through the institution. In order to position students, the college has partnerships with numerous construction companies in Coimbatore, Chennai and surrounding districts. The students are encouraged to take part in a variety of technical events held at our college and other technical establishments. The management gives prizes to the event winners as an expression of appreciation.
